For your consideration, you are viewing an Antique piece of Spanish Military History, this is a Spanish M1913 Bayonet complete with Leather Scabbard, these were adopted in 1913 as the Bayoneta Modelo 1913, and this bayonet replaced the M1893 bayonet. With the introduction of the 7 mm M1916 Short Rifle in 1916, the M1913 bayonet was, instead, designated for use with this M1916 Rifle and subsequently also designated for use with the 8 mm M1943 Short Rifle. This bayonet has had new wood grips applied to replace the original checkered wood ones, the original era scabbard is stitched leather, with a steel mount locket and drag. The body stitching is intact until the last 4 cm, but it has torn at the end drag mount # The makers and inspection marks are:

• RICASSO: Ricasso (Left): This has been ground off and only a partial line of the rectangle stamp is visible. Originally it would have read "Arilleria" over "FCA Nacional" over "Toledo" within a rectangle
• CROSSGUARD: "413"

CONDITION: This bayonet is vintage WWI, used, and in good condition for its age and uses in warfare. The replacement wood grips are in good condition with a sliver missing that has been worn smooth, with light scuff and wear marks consistent with use and fit tightly to the tang, the release/lock button is in working order. The 39.8 cm blade has a polished finish with a little scattered stain and no pitting. The edge and the point are not sharp and have no dings. The remaining metal on the cross-guards, pommel and mortise has a polished finish with some wear and grey patination. The scabbard leather is supple and has some scuffing, the body stitching is intact until the last 4 cm, but it has torn at the end drag mount, The metal mounts have no dents and fit tightly together with the bayonet. # Please note that the photographs form part of the description; Super-sized photos are available for you to view in the eBay gallery, to show up the finer details and conditions.
