For your consideration, you are viewing a piece of WWII military history. This fairly scarce George VI version 1937 Pattern 'Royal Ordnance Factories Cap Badge with a rear Brass Slider. The cap badge of a regiment is its most basic identifying emblem and much emotion is vested in such badges by members of regiments.
#ROFs Royal Ordnance Factories: were munitions factories run by the UK government during and after WWII. The three types of factories were Engineering, Filling and Explosives, and were dispersed around the country for security reasons. ROFs were the responsibility of the Ministry of Supply and later the Ministry of Defence right up until privatisation in 1987.
CONDITION: This badge is WWII Vintage circa 1939-1945, used and is in good condition for its age and use, there are no dents or significant wear to the face, and it has a naturally aged patina.
